EDF App Terms of Use

About these terms
These Terms of Use apply to the EDF mobile app and related services operated by ETHIO DANCE FITNESS ONE MEMBER PLC for EDF Gym and Ethio Pilates.
By creating an account or using the EDF App, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, you should not create an account or use the app.
Eligibility and accounts
EDF App accounts are intended for adults aged 18 and over.
Some in-person services, including Beginner Ballet, may be attended by participants under 18. In those situations, the account and booking must be created, controlled and managed by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over.
A minor may not create or independently operate an EDF App account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current account information
- Keep your password and verification codes private
- Notify us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission
- Use only your own account
- Accept responsibility for activity performed through your account
EDF staff will never ask you to send your password or SMS verification code by email.
Purpose of the app
The EDF App may allow members to:
- View memberships and available packages
- Book eligible classes and sessions
- Check in at the facility
- View attendance and membership information
- Register for events
- View coaching and progress information
- Manage profile information
- Request or complete account deletion
Features may depend on your membership, assigned facility, package, trainer, instructor or account status.
Memberships and packages
Memberships, packages, prices, validity periods and included services are displayed in the app or communicated by authorised EDF staff.
Access to a class, session or facility may depend on:
- Having an active membership or package
- Having sessions remaining
- The validity period of the package
- Class availability
- Facility schedules
- Applicable booking requirements
Packages and memberships may not be transferred between users unless EDF gives written approval.
Prices and available packages may change. Changes will not normally alter a completed purchase unless required by law or agreed with the member.
Bookings and attendance
A booking is subject to availability and does not guarantee that a class or instructor will remain available if circumstances outside our reasonable control require a schedule change.
You are responsible for:
- Arriving at the appropriate time
- Following check-in procedures
- Cancelling bookings you cannot attend
- Following instructions provided by trainers, instructors and facility staff
- Treating staff and other members respectfully
EDF may change, reschedule or cancel a class when reasonably necessary. When possible, affected members will be informed through the app or another available contact method.
Payments and receipts
The app may display payment records, memberships, packages and receipts recorded by authorised staff.
You are responsible for reviewing payment and membership information and promptly reporting errors to:
Refunds, credits, transfers and membership changes are handled according to the conditions communicated at the time of purchase and applicable law.
Health and safety
Exercise and fitness activities involve physical effort and may involve risk of injury.
Before participating, you should consider your health and physical condition. Consult a qualified medical professional before beginning an exercise programme if you have a medical condition, injury, are pregnant or have concerns about your ability to participate safely.
You agree to:
- Follow reasonable safety instructions
- Use equipment properly
- Inform the trainer or instructor about relevant injuries or limitations
- Stop exercising and seek assistance if you feel pain, dizziness or unusual discomfort
Information shown in the app, including coaching and progress information, is provided for fitness and informational purposes. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use another person’s account without permission
- Attempt to access information belonging to another member
- Interfere with the app, servers or security controls
- Upload harmful, unlawful or misleading material
- Attempt to copy, reverse-engineer or misuse the app
- Use the app for fraudulent or unlawful activity
- Harass staff, instructors, trainers or other members
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect members, staff, the service or our legal rights.
Photos and progress information
Profile photos and progress photos are optional.
Only upload photographs that belong to you and that you have the right to provide.
Progress information and photographs are private and are accessible only to you and appropriately authorised staff.
Service availability
We aim to keep the app available and accurate, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.
Access may occasionally be limited because of:
- Maintenance
- Security updates
- Internet or hosting interruptions
- Technical problems
- Events outside our reasonable control
We may update, replace or discontinue app features when reasonably necessary.
Account deletion
You may delete your account through:

Deleting your account does not remove payment, membership or attendance records that must be retained for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution or other legal obligations.

Intellectual property
The EDF App, its design, software, branding, text and original content belong to ETHIO DANCE FITNESS ONE MEMBER PLC or its authorised licensors.
You may use the app only for personal access to EDF services. These terms do not transfer ownership of the app or its content to you.
Responsibility
We will provide the app and related services with reasonable care.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or responsibility that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by misuse of the app, failure to follow safety instructions, unauthorised account access resulting from disclosure of credentials or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the app, services or applicable requirements change.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date. If a change is important, we may also notify users through the app or another appropriate method.
Continued use of the app after an updated version takes effect means that you accept the revised terms, where permitted by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Ethiopia.
